Louisiana State University (LSU) has taken an important step toward building a more reliable, efficient, and sustainable campus infrastructure. Energy Concessionaire LLC, a subsidiary of CenTrio, and Tiger Energy Partners have joined with LSU to modernize the utility systems at the main campus in Baton Rouge through a capital project program titled LSU Utility Modernization Improvement Project. This project will revolutionize LSU’s district energy services by upgrading the existing facilities to generate permanent and significant operational and carbon savings for LSU and its community for decades to come.

Anticipated Subcontract Opportunities

CenTrio / Tiger Energy is seeking to engage certified DBE, WBE, MBE, Hudson, SDVOSB companies that provide services useful in execution of this project. All firms will be required to provide documentation of certification. Firms interested in participating in preconstruction and construction services for all project phases are invited to fill out an application. Potential scopes of work will include, but not limited to:

CenTrio and our partners are committed to recruiting DBE firms for the project. We will ensure the participation of DBE contractors, working with and supporting pre-apprenticeship and training programs that expand the pipeline of qualified workers, local hiring commitments and other initiatives. CenTrio will engage in aggressive outreach to generate interest, identify recruitment sources and structure procurement to involve MBE/WBE/DBE contracting firms. This may include but not be limited to targeting bid solicitations and contacting trade organizations and special interest publications. We will engage in aggressive outreach for the hiring of skilled workers, which may include but not be limited to advertising, direct contact, social media and job fairs. We will also investigate the potential for internship and apprenticeship opportunities aimed at minority, women and diversity participants. CenTrio is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
